Step 4

Complete the fields in the Culture Test Defaults screen.

Culture Type
Select the culture type that you want the system to automatically create tests for.

Note: You can only have one set of default culture tests for each culture type. If you have already defined some default culture tests for this culture type then adding a new set of culture tests will replace any that you have previously set up.

Culture Tests
Select one or more direct tests from the direct test list. Whenever you create a specimen with this specimen type a direct test record for each direct test you have selected will be created on the specimen record automatically.

When you have finished entering the new culture test defaults, click the Save button.

Step 5

The culture type and the culture test defaults will now be displayed on the configuration screen under the appropriate section.

Step 6

Logout of the system by clicking the logout button in the top right of the  screen.

Note: Configuration changes only take affect when you log into the system.

Step 7

Now when you receive a new specimen or acknowledge the receipt of a new specimen the default direct test you have created will be automatically enabled on the Select Tests page.

These automatic defaults can be overridden when the specimen is received if desired.
