Make your changes to the default cultures that appear for the selected specimen type.

Specimen Type
The specimen type that you are defining default cultures for.

Note: You can only have one set of default cultures for each specimen type. If you have already defined some default cultures for this specimen type then adding a new set of default cultures will replace any that you have previously set up.

Culture Type
Select one or more culture types from the culture type list. Whenever you create a specimen with this specimen type a culture record for each culture type you have selected will be created on the specimen record.

When you have finished entering the new test definition. Click the Save button.

5. The specimen type and the culture type defaults will now be displayed on the specimen configuration screen.

Note: Configuration changes only take affect when you log into the system.

7. Now when you receive a new specimen or acknowledge the receipt of a new specimen the default culture type you have created will be automatically enabled on the Select Culture Types page.

These automatic defaults can be overridden when the specimen is received if desired.
