The patient diary provides a historical record of all events associated with a specific patient and can be reviewed at any time for context.
Step 1
Select the Patients option from the main menu.
Step 2
For the patient whose diary you wish to access, open the overflow menu (“...”) on that patient’s row to view all available actions. If your user role includes the required event permission (see Understanding Event Permissions), the Diary option will be displayed in the menu.
Step 3
Select the Diary action and the patient diary will appear.
The resultant diary page should display a list of events that have occurred for the patient in scope, in chronological order, with the most recent entry at the top. Each diary entry is structured as follows, from left to right:
- The icon of the corresponding user action (if user triggered)
- The resultant specimen state, after the event was processed
- The name of the event (in bold font)
- The user who carried out the action
- A timestamp including the data and time
The order of the last three items can vary depending on the nature of the event.
To view details of a specific event in the list, simply click on the event name (in bold font). Selecting the New specimen event from the above patient diary, for example, yields the following event details.
