Step 1
Select the Specimens option on the main menu.
Step 2
Select the specimen for which you wish to add a culture from the list.
Step 3
Select the Add Culture button which appears at the top of the screen.
Step 4
The Growth Details page will appear
When you have finished entering the culture growth details, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.
Step 5
The Organism Identity page will appear
Identification Certainty
This represents the certainty of the identification of the organism.
Full Organism Search
You may run a full organism search to choose the organism of the culture. For more information about this, see: Running a full organism search.
When you have finished defining the organism identity, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.
Step 6
The Additional Guidance page will appear
When you have finished entering additional guidance about the culture, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.
Step 7
The Archive Information page will appear.
When you wish to save the new culture, click Finish at the bottom of the screen.
Step 8
Click the View button which appears at the top of the screen.
Step 9
You will enter the Specimen Record View, scroll down to the Cultures section to verify the creation of the new culture.
