Edit a Culture

Step 1

Select the Specimens option on the main menu.

Step 2

Select the specimen with the culture that you wish to edit from the list.

Note: Availability of an action on a specimen is determined by it's state. For more information about states and workflow, see: Specimen State and Workflow.

Step 3

Select the View button which appears at the top of the screen.

Step 4

You will enter the Specimen Record View, scroll down to the Cultures section and click the EditVanilla.pngicon adjacent to the culture that you wish to edit.

Step 5

The Growth Details page will appear

When you have finished editing the culture growth details, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.

Step 6

The Organism Identity page will appear

Identification Certainty

This represents the certainty of the identification of the organism.

Full Organism Search

You may run a full organism search to change the organism of the culture. For more information about this, see: Running a Full Organism Search.

When you have finished editing the organism identity, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.

Step 7

The Additional Guidance page will appear

When you have finished editing additional guidance about the culture, click Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed.

Step 8

The Archive Information page will appear.

When you wish to save the changes to the culture, click Finish at the bottom of the screen.

Step 9

On the Specimen Record View, scroll down to the Cultures section and click the ViewIcon.png icon adjacent to the edited culture.

Step 10

You will enter the Culture Record View, verify that the edited culture information is displayed correctly in the Culture Details section.
