Add a Location

Step 1

Select the Locations option on the main menu.

Step 2

Select the Add Location button which appears at the top of the screen. 

Step 3

The add location window will appear - fill in the relevant information. 

Location
Enter the location name here.

Code
A unique identifier for the location, this can be used to easily reference and access the location while using SEDRI-LIMS.

Parent Location
You may use this field to define a parent-child relationship with a pre-existing location, thereby creating location hierarchies. For more information about hierarchies, see: .

Longitude/Latitude

You may optionally specify specific location coordinates using these fields.

Enabled
Setting this to "No" will make the location inactive.

Note: Any field marked with is mandatory.

Step 4

When you have finished filling in the information, click Save to add the location. 

Step 5

Verify that the newly created location appears in the list.
