The primary association of locations in SEDRI LIMS is with patients, and the user has the option to associate a location with a patient using the patient address page when creating or editing a patient record:
Locations can be organised into hierarchies for the sake of specificity. Hierarchies can be defined and altered from the add location and edit location pages:
In this example, Kampong Chaam has been defined as the parent to Andoug Meas. A parent location is to be considered the broader geographic area within which the new location falls.
