What are Organism Synonyms?
Organism synonyms are alternative names that can be associated with organisms to allow for easier identification when searching. Synonyms are only visible when performing a Full Organism Search. Once a synonym is associated with an organism, the synonym will be a valid search term for the organism in all capacities. This means that partial matches and full matches to the synonym will cause the organism to be shown.
Example Synonym Use
1. First add a synonym to the desired organism. For this example the organism is Acastea bipes, and the synonym is TestSynonym.
2. Now when searching for an organism, the synonym can be used to find the organism.
