Step 1
Select the Organisms option under Coding on the main menu.
Step 2
Select which Organism Group you wish to add an organism to from the dropdown.
Step 3
Click Add Custom Entry.
Step 4
The Add Custom Organism for will appear.
Organism Name.
The name that will be given to the custom organism.
Code
The organism code that will be given to the custom organism.
Order
This section is used to determine at which point within the organism hierarchy the custom organism will be placed. Once an Order is selected, a Family dropdown will appear. If an order is selected and Family left blank, the custom organism will be considered to be at the Family tier of the hierarchy with the selected Order above it.
Step 5
When the custom organism is completed, click Save and the organism is visible in the group.
